Group Classes
Group classes at Rooby-Doo Canine Academy provide a supportive environment for dogs to learn essential commands and strengthen their obedience skills. Our classes cover everything from basic to advanced obedience, as well as trick dog, scent work, AKC Canine Good Citizen, and more, providing a curriculum over an 8-week period. Classes occur once a week, each lasting for 60 minutes. A minimum number of participants is required for each course to take place. Pricing starting at $320.
Basic Obedience
8 Week Course
Basic obedience is the beginning of your journey with your dog. This course starts to lay a foundation for you and your dog to communicate with each other clearly. You will learn several on-leash behaviors such as sit, down, come, focus, heel (loose leash walking), polite greetings, impulse control and the basics to safe leash handling skills. All training will be reward-based.
There will be no make up sessions for any missed classes within the 8-week course.
Prerequisites:
- Proof of vaccination and rabies

Basic Obedience

By the end of this course you can earn your Novice Trick Dog Title!
Learning tricks is a fun way to engage and bond with your dog. You will learn a total of 15 tricks during this 8-week course. You will show the tricks to your certified instructor for her to sign off on. If you can execute all 15 tricks by the end of the course, you will earn your novice trick dog title certificate from Do More With Your Dog!
There will be no make up sessions for any missed classes within the 8-week course.

8 Week Course
The Canine Good Citizen Program teaches good manners to dogs and responsible dog ownership to their owners and is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The CGC Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. There are 10 items the dogs must execute to pass the test. The goal of this course is to be guided and instructed through all 10 items for successful testing at the end of the course. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test will receive a certificate of title from the American Kennel Club.
There will be no make up sessions for any missed classes within the 8-week course.
Prerequisites:
- Successful completion of Intermediate Obedience
- Proof of vaccination and rabies

8 Week Course
This is an advanced course testing your dog's reactivity to external stimuli and teaching the owner to recognize the signs and warning signals their dog is expressing as well as learn how to respond accordingly to each situation. We will do set-ups in a safe environment for each team to practice their dog's triggers.
There will be no make up sessions for any missed classes within the 8-week course.
Prerequisites:
- Successful completion of both Advanced Obedience and Intermediate Reactivity
- Proof of vaccination and rabies

Cancellation Policy for Group Classes
To reschedule or cancel a group class course, we require a minimum 7-day notice. Please note that a cancellation notice given less than 7 days in advance or a no-show on the scheduled start day will result in the forfeiture of the full amount. Group classes are dependent on the number of participants, therefore, no exceptions will be made, nor will the paid amount be credited to a future training.
